Video Lecture

FSc Chemistry Book1, CH 11, LEC 17; More on Arrhenius Equation

This video lecture from Reaction Kinetics (F.Sc. first year Chemistry) is an extension of the previous lecture on the Arrhenius equation which relates rate constant with activation energy and temperature. This relationship can be used to predict the change in the rate of reaction for a certain degrees of rise in temperature. A relationship has been derived from the results of Arrhenius which suggests that for 10 degrees rise of temperature, the rate increases by almost 4 times while for 300 degrees rise of temperature, the rate increases by more than a billion times..
