FSc Chemistry Book1, CH 11, LEC 12; Activation Energy and Reaction Dynamics

This video lecture from Reaction Kinetics (F.Sc. first year Chemistry) covers the activation energy and reaction dynamics. The activation energy is defined as the minimum amount of energy required by reacting molecules to create a lasting bond and hence change into products through an effective collision. This energy is provided by the kinetic energy of the reacting molecules. An effective collision takes place when a molecules has this minimum energy and is properly oriented spatially. The idea of potential energy is also discussed for a chemical reaction. Find more e-learning material and educational video lectures in Urdu at maktab.pk.
